Laminar Flow Booths are an essential tool for a range of industrial applications. They provide a contamination-free environment for manufacturing and research, making them an ideal solution for cleanroom work.
The structure of the laminar flow booth consists of a frame made of stainless steel or powder-coated mild steel. The frame accommodates HEPA filters, prefilters, and the blower. A diffuser grill is positioned at the top of the booth, and a baffle is placed at the base of the booth. These serve to ensure the even distribution of air and capture residual particles.
The key components of the laminar flow booth include the following:
1. HEPA Filter: The HEPA filter captures particles 0.3 microns in size and removes 99.99% of all airborne impurities.
2. Fan/Blower: The blower or fan provides the air movement required to draw air through the prefilters and HEPA filters.
3. Pre-Filters: The pre-filters capture larger particles and help to prolong the life of the HEPA filters.
4. Diffuser Grill: The diffuser grill ensures an even distribution of air within the laminar flow booth.
5. Baffle: The baffles also distribute the air evenly and capture residual particles.
Design Principles:
- Positive pressure within the booth
- Unidirectional airflow
- HEPA filtration
