In pharmaceutical factories, the installation of HEPA Filter boxes (high-efficiency air filter boxes) needs to strictly follow the specifications to ensure its effectiveness and safety. The following are the installation steps and precautions of HEPA Filter Box in the pharmaceutical factory:
Before installation, the cleanroom must be thoroughly cleaned and wiped to ensure that the installation area is free of dust and debris.
If installed in a technical mezzanine or ceiling, these areas should also be thoroughly cleaned.
Make sure all components, tools and installation materials are complete, including wrenches, screwdrivers, sealants, cleaning cloths, gloves, etc.
Check the specifications and dimensions of the HEPA Filter Box to ensure that it matches the installation frame.
The airflow direction of the HEPA Filter Box should be consistent with the design direction of the system. Usually, the airflow flows through the air inlet side of the filter, and the purified air flows out from the air outlet side.
Check the arrow indication on the filter to ensure that the airflow direction is correct.
Clean the installation frame and interfaces to ensure there is no dust or debris.
Clear the space around the filter, especially the air intake and exhaust surfaces of the filter.
Inspect the HEPA Filter Box frame and sealing strips to ensure that they are not damaged and fit tightly with the interface of the installation frame.
Use appropriate sealant (such as silicone sealant or polyurethane sealant) to ensure that the gap between the filter and the frame is sealed to prevent air leakage.
Place the HEPA Filter Box horizontally to ensure its position is level and avoid affecting the airflow distribution or causing poor sealing due to tilting.
Insert the HEPA Filter Box into the installation frame and gently push it to ensure it is firmly placed.
Use appropriate fixing devices (such as screws, retaining rings, etc.) to firmly fix the filter box in the frame.
Make sure that the pipe joints and air ducts are tightly connected to avoid air leakage after installation.
If necessary, connect the HEPA Filter Box to the main air circulation system using a pipe connector.
After fixing the HEPA Filter Box, check the sealing situation around it. The air tightness tester can be used for detection to ensure there are no air leakage points.
If air leakage is found, it should be repaired immediately and resealed.
Turn on the equipment and check the operation of the airflow and the filter. Ensure that the air flow rate, air direction and pressure comply with the design requirements
